AppleSoft Warranty & Repair Guide
At AppleSoft, we proudly uphold our responsibilities under the Consumer Guarantees Act. We are committed to providing reliable, transparent, and efficient after-sales service.
Warranty Coverage
- Samsung Devices: All brand-new Samsung mobile phones come with a 24-month warranty.
- Other Electronic Devices: Products with an IMEI or Serial Number are backed by a 12-month warranty.
- Accessories: Items such as batteries, chargers, headsets, cables, and memory cards are covered by a 3-month warranty.
- Warranty periods begin from the date of purchase.
Extended Warranty Option
Customers may extend their standard 12-month warranty by purchasing additional coverage at the time of sale. Extended warranties follow the same terms and conditions as the standard warranty.
Repair Process
All warranties are return-to-base. Faulty items must be returned to any AppleSoft location along with the original proof of purchase (AppleSoft Receipt only).
Repair Procedure:
- Devices will be logged into our system and assigned a service job number.
- Devices are assessed by independent service agents.
- Repairs are completed Monday to Friday only.
- The typical repair timeframe is 5–15 working days, depending on parts and technician availability.
- If a device cannot be repaired within 3–8 weeks, a replacement of similar specification may be offered.
- Accepted replacements inherit the original warranty period.
- All completed repairs carry a 30-day warranty on the specific service provided.
Note: Service parts or replacement products may be new or refurbished to “as-new” standard.
Assessment Bond
A $55.00 Assessment Bond is required when booking a device for repair under warranty.
- This bond is refunded if the device qualifies for warranty and at least one fault is confirmed.
- It is not refunded if no fault is found or the device is ineligible under the warranty terms.
Warranty Eligibility Criteria
Warranty applies if:
- The product is within its warranty period; AND
- A fault due to defective parts or workmanship is confirmed; AND
- The issue is covered under our warranty terms; AND
- The device and accessories were used as per the provided operating instructions.
AppleSoft will repair any mechanical fault covered under warranty. If repair is not possible, a replacement will be offered. A refund is provided only when neither repair nor replacement is viable.
Shipping:
- Customers cover the cost to send the item to AppleSoft.
- AppleSoft covers the cost of return shipping only when a mechanical fault is found.
- If no fault is found or damage is user-caused, the customer bears both-way shipping costs.
Return Window: Faulty items must be returned within 7 days of agreed approval.
Note: All shipping fees are non-refundable.
Warranty Will NOT Apply If:
- The product is outside the warranty period; OR
- The fault is not covered under warranty; OR
- Unauthorized repair or tampering is detected.
Faults NOT Covered Under Warranty Include (but are not limited to):
- User-Caused Damages, such as:
- Liquid or moisture damage
- Impact or physical damage
- Power surge damage
- Mishandling or exposure to extreme environments
- Damage caused by non-original accessories
- Software modifications (rooting, jailbreaking, custom ROMs)
- Faults from third-party applications
- Normal wear and tear
Liquid / Moisture Damage Policy
Liquid damage includes corrosion on circuit boards or internal components, even if not visible to the naked eye. It often leads to latent damage that may cause device failure later.
IMPORTANT: AppleSoft’s warranty does NOT cover water or liquid damage under any circumstances.
Common causes include:
- Exposure to rain
- Immersion in water or liquids
- Sweat or humidity damage
- Steam or condensation buildup
Data Loss Disclaimer
AppleSoft aims to protect customer data, but data loss may occur during diagnostics or repair. Customers are strongly advised to back up all data before submitting devices.
AppleSoft and its service partners are not liable for:
- Lost data
- Personal or business interruption
- Financial loss or wasted expenditure
Unclaimed Repairs
Devices left unclaimed for more than 2 months after notice (via call, text, or email) will become the property of AppleSoft and may be disposed of at our discretion.
